About the project.

The Hotel Solar de Fiães project is a testament to the harmonious coexistence of the old and the new. By renovating and extending the ancient Solar de Fiães, a luxurious four-star hotel has emerged, combining traditional concepts with modern elegance. It is located in the picturesque town of Fiães, Santa Maria da Feira, offering an experience that is both rich in history and contemporary in style.

Story behind the design.

The region’s cultural legacy will be reflected in the preservation of the core elements of the ancient architecture, which included substantial walls made of granite stone and a tiled roof. The project seeks to revitalize the centuries-old building while meeting the changing demands of the hotel sector through careful planning and design. Boundary walls and a parking lot are also planned to improve the site’s use and accessibility and guarantee a smooth experience for both employees and visitors.

The story of the Fiães Hotel project takes place in a community that is willing to embrace progress while preserving its past. The initiative, which originated from conversations with local officials and citizens, became a driving force behind sustainable development in the parish of Fiáes. Aware of the lack of lodging options in the region, interested parties came together to support the conversion of the Solar de Fiães into a hotel, seeing it as a symbol of both cultural and economic development. From conception to implementation, the process is a manifestation of a shared endeavor to respect the past while welcoming the future, with each step guided by a profound understanding of the region’s past and hopes for its continued growth.
